What is Standby?

“Stand by” is the practice of dispatching a cryopreservation team to a patient or a potential patient. The goal is to reduce the time as much as possible until initial cooling and other procedures can begin. Do not hesitate to contact us at the earliest possible time.

When to request Standby?

Please contact us at the earliest possible time, examples are the initial diagnosis of a terminal disease, sudden worsening of a serious medical condition and/or if medical staff is worried about the current condition of the patient. DO NOT wait until the patient is close to legal death.

Again, do not hesitate to contact us at the earliest possible time. We’d rather have a call that is too early than one that is too late!
